About C.D. Short

A writer of pop music since age ten, Christopher Short studied theater, music theory, and creative writing at Wabash College. From 2005 to 2011, he annually completed the February Album Writing Month challenge, penning more than 100 songs through that effort alone. In 2006 he won an Indianapolis songwriting tournament produced by NUVO Newsweekly.

Christopher began composing church music in 2015, and in 2017 his first large-scale work, an English-language mass titled Credimus, was premiered by the Crawfordsville Community Chorus.

For 11 years, Christopher was chief editor of Geeks Who Drink pub quizzes, regularly writing and performing lyrical snippets for the quiz. As head writer of the company's annual championship, Geek Bowl, his parody lyrics were performed by Letters to Cleo and They Might Be Giants. He also wrote for the 2015 Geeks Who Drink TV series (Syfy), and in 2019 edited a book of humorous trivia essays called Duh! (Adams Media). Now he runs the company as Quizmaster-in-Chief.

Christopher sings tenor in the choir at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Crawfordsville, Indiana, where he lives with his wife and son.  And he almost made it to the end of this bio without mentioning that he’s a six-time winner of Jeopardy! (so close!)
